Not only does this ship lightening fast, but it bakes one adorable giant cupcake. I will share with you some of the things I wish were in the description and/or the directions. One, it makes a cupcake approximately 5" across and 7" high, or to put that into perspective, the finished cupcake cake shown in the picture is actually on a saucer, not a plate. Two, you need to be sure and grease and flour the pans very well as, if it sticks, it is more difficult to get out than the average cake (at least the cupcake top is) due to the details in the pan. Three, although it includes a recipe for a vanilla cake, I chose to use a box yellow cake mix. I was able to get 3 cupcake cakes out of 2 mixes so 2/3 of a mix will make one cake.

I love this pan. I made my daughter's first birthday cake with it. I did a practice cake and a regular cake and both came out perfect.

Things to note:
1. Use either Baker's Joy spray or Pam for Baking to really spray the pan. I used Baker's joy and the thing popped right out, no problems. But I sprayed liberally!
2. Bake according to the directions on the pan packaging.
3. Set a cookie sheet underneath the pan while baking. The first time I used it, I filled the base too full and it over flowed. I used one cake mix and I made this cake and six cupcakes.

My first cake did lean a little to the side when frosted, because it is a little top heavy. I fixed this by making a candy cupcake liner with Wilton candy melts. I used the base part of the cake pan as a candy mold. It made a hard shelled "liner". Then cut the cake base to fit inside the candy liner, and presto! I really wanted the pan so my daughter would have her own large cake for her first birthday. I am glad I bought it, BUT I made a base for a over sized cup cake with a 2 cup oven safe glass measuring cup/storage. This works just a well after piling a large amount of icing on the top instead of having a cake topper. I would not buy it again, but I must say it is cute! Buy if you are wanting a perfect LARGE cup cake. Otherwise, make a base with what you have and save your money. Oh yeah, this is a 6 cup total or 1.4 liters (3 cups each side), NOT the 10 cup you often see at big box stores... I am also pretty sure it is made in the USA, another plus!
